How We Work
Working process:
Step One: Quotation
E-mail, fax, or mail us your document requiring translation. Usually within
24 hours after receiving your request within normal working hours, Monday
- Friday 9:00 a.m. ~ 5:00 p.m. (Japanese Standard Time) we will contact you with a quotation of price
and turnaround time.
Quotes are always free of charge and without obligation.
Step Two: Translation
Once a project is approved, it is assigned to our experienced translators
chosen for their fields of specialization. During translation, glossaries,
style guides, and reference materials are assembled to assure consistency
of terminology throughout the work we do for each client.
Glossaries are guides to diction. Style guides address issues such as general
writing style, grammatical conventions, punctuation, and word usage.
e-TRANS develops a master glossary in English words and includes industry-specific
terminology and difficult-to-translate terms. e-TRANS localizes this glossary
in the Japanese language.
e-TRANS uses Machine Translation (MT) to assist human translators. MT is typically successful in the translation of large volumes of literal
and repetitive text, and greatly helps human translators assure consistency
of terminology, thus maintaining uniformity in the process of translation.
Step Three: Editing and Proofreading
Every translation is reviewed by an editor for correctness. In this way
we maximize our ability you with accurate, reliable translations.
